The overall design is nice, but it's a little narrow, and sits just a bit too low for comfort, measuring 1.5 by 2.6 by 5.0 inches (HWD). The hexagonal snake-skin texture of the rubber lining inside these two thumb contours provides both traction and comfort. The symmetrical design has a thumb contour on both sides of the mouse, making it ergonomic for either hand to use, unlike right-handed mice like the Roccat Savu. The scroll wheel glows green, and a matching accent lights up the Razer logo positioned under the palm. One pair is positioned for right-handed users, the other for lefties. The Taipan is outfitted with nine total buttons: Right and Left, a clickable scroll wheel, sensitivity up, sensitivity down, and two pairs of programmable thumb buttons to either side of the mouse. The Taipan isn't a button-studded MMO mouse rather, it's a basic gaming mouse for first-person shooters (FPS) and point-and-click games-think somewhere in between the Editors' Choice Gigabyte M8000Xtreme Mouse and the bare-bones SteelSeries Kinzu Optical Mouse. Thankfully, the Razer Taipan ($79.99 direct) doesn't discriminate against the left-handed, thanks to an ambidextrous design that offers ergonomic comfort for either hand. This is especially true of gaming mice, where ergonomic features are emphasized for comfort over hours of play. From automobile gear-shifts to can-openers and scissors, it's tough to find a hands-on experience that's southpaw-friendly. Best Malware Removal and Protection SoftwareĪny lefty knows that this is a world made for the right-handed.can you COMPLETELY palm this mouse? or do your fingers overreach it? pls i need an answer as i have problems palming any mouse(even g400 was small). OMG OMG i have the same hand size!(exactly 19cm from very bottom of palm to top of middle finger) and i cant palm my da 2013. BF3), which can make DPI switching a b**ch. The Desktop overlay does't work in most games (i.e. So whenever you start a Game with a Profile it switches automatically, but you have to switch manually back to your standard Profile. #Razer taipan reviews softwareWhen you use Logitech Gaming Software before you know what I mean. #Razer taipan reviews OfflineGood is, that you can use it offline now. It is the one thing i have to complain about this mouse. When you go one up for a weapon switch, you just go one up and when you hit the wheel for a button click I had never an accidental scroll. Never Had a mouse with such a good clicky feel on the thumb buttons. I like look and feel of the materials very much (maybe except for the silvery thumb buttons). For the size of my Hands it is the perfect Claw-Grip mouse. I purchased the Taipan a while ago for myself and I love it. the mouse sells for around $90 Australian Dollars. the mouse is very nice to the touch with nice grippy side grips and a matte feeling body. The mouse features a 4G 8200 dpi dual sensor. In conclusion this mouse is suited to people with hands around 19cm high. If you have a standard mousemat or a Razer mousemat you can calibrate the mouse to what mat you are using. In razer synapse 2.0 you have the ability to make custom presets for your dpi so when you click the button you will be notified on what your current dpi is and there is 5 sensitivity stages which you can set. The mouse is also ambidextrous so it doesn't matter if you are left handed or right handed. The Razer Taipan also includes silent feet so it will keep some of the noise down when you are gaming. The cable is braided so it gives the mouse a very nice feel and is also equiped with a golden USB connector. the Razer Taipan has really nice side grips that also occur on the Razer Naga 2014 the grips are rubber so you won't be losing grip on this mouse anytime soon. The feedback is very good and i don't notice any input lag or random movements. The logo is set to breathe by deafult but you can turn it off just like the scroll light if that is your preference. The lighting has a very fimilar look which appears on the Razer Naga 2014 and Razer Deathadder 2013. The mouse is equiped with a dual sensor system one of the sensors is 8200 dpi and the other is a 4g sensor. The mouse has a very good fit, my hands measure around 19cm from the top of my middle finger to the bottom of my palms and the mouse fits nicely. Firstly the mouse has fantastic packaging that we should all be use to in terms of razer products, the mouse has nine programmable buttons, two on each side, two on top set as dpi switchers by deafult, left and right click as well as middle click.
